On the road again...

I haven't been in the kitchen much in the last few days. We've been traveling and eating in restaurants. I thought you might like to see a few pictures of our travels!
Rosie's Cafe in Taho City, CA had an inviting fireplace and menu.
We started our evening with cocktails... a delicious blend of deep, dark chocolate and hot milk served in the most discriminating of glassware.
There was plenty of memorabilia on the walls (and hanging from the ceiling) at Rosie's to keep us entertained while we waited for our appetizer...
... a fondue of melted gruyere cheese, with white wine and house-made pesto bread for dipping.
One more for the road!
The next day we toured Lake Tahoe and saw some beautiful sights!

The water was so blue!

And the trees so green!
We started our dinner that night with a Margarita, tri-colored chips and salsa at The Blue Agave. I had a Shrimp Quesadilla... a flour tortilla filled with marinated shrimp, bell peppers, onion, tomatoes and melted cheese - served with guacamole and sour cream. It was delicious!

Keep in touch - we'll be doing more traveling... and you can come along!

  5. How adorable is she!! The mug is almost as big as her lol. Rosie's looks really warm and inviting and those pictures of Tahoe are amazing, our friends went a long time ago and have been trying to convince us to go ever since, I think you are further convincing me! :)

Cheese fondue on homemade pesto bread? I think you literally just defined the meaning of life :)
