Thematic Photographic 27: Shadows

Sequoia National Park
California
July 2004

A forest of immense California Redwoods, some reaching heights of 350+ feet offer many opportunities for pictures of shadows.

Snake River
Idaho Falls, Idaho
July 2008
Geese, ducks, cattle-- even people... most of the time they do just what everyone is doing. It was interesting watching these geese shadow one another along the Snake River.

  2. Karen, thank you so much for stopping by. The butter cookie recipe is a simple one, but very special to me because it was my mothers. Hey, I love your new template. How do you get such wonderful templates on blogspot? I'd love to have a Christmas scene.

  5. in the deep dark redwoods, sometimes there isn't even enough light to find a shadow. I do love that photo!!

(ps. We spend a lot of boating weekends on the Snake - which runs into the Columbia River not so very far from here. I always enjoy seeing pictures of it on its way.)

  9. Teresa, I couldn't find a Christmas template that I liked, so I just made a header with strawberries and changed my background color! Works for me! You can Google "Free blogger templates" - there are lots of them around.

For anyone who has a chance to visit Sequoia NP, do! It is really beautiful.
