With all the goings-on the in the last week while visiting my daughter, I just got around to making this last night. I've always thought that Coq au Vin was such a fancy, complicated recipe but I was amazed at how easy Ina's recipe was to put together and it turned out just delicious! The aroma of the vegetables, wine, cognac, and garlic coming from the oven was wonderful! I was a little concerned about making this for my daughter and son-in-law as they aren't big on the taste or smell of wine, but it was a big hit! I made some risotto to go with this.
Oh, I had "help" in the kitchen while I was preparing this recipe (my granddaughter) and as a result, this is the only picture I ended up with!
