Using a refrigerated crescent roll and the help of a food processor, this little bite is quick and easy to prepare. The recipe makes 32 sweet and spicy swirls. Put a plate of these on your table and watch them disappear!
PRINT RECIPE (adapted from Tasty Kitchen)
Jalapeno-Cream Cheese Pinwheels
3/4 block of cream cheese, softened
5 pickled jalapenos
2 T sugar
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
5 pickled jalapenos
2 T sugar
1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
Preheat oven to 375F. Put cream cheese and jalapenos in a food processor and mix thoroughly. Keeping crescent roll dough intact, roll out gently on a lightly floured surface. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the dough. Sprinkle with 1 T sugar. Roll up starting at the long end. Cut roll in half, then half again, continuing until 16 slices have been cut. Place cut side down on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment. Repeat with second sheet of dough. Bake for 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool slightly on pan. Remove with a spatula to serving tray.
