Adopt a Blogger

For the third year, Kristen at Dine & Dish has organized “Adopt a Blogger” where she matches seasoned bloggers to newbie bloggers. The seasoned blogger offers whatever help they can give to their adopted newbie blogger and it’s also a way to introduce new bloggers to the blogosphere. So, without further adieu…

I’d like to introduce you to Linda aka goodshoeday from With Knife and Fork!

(The crowd cheers!)

Welcome to the blogosphere, Linda!

Linda began blogging this past January at the urging of her friends. In her last job, Linda was renowned for the number of pairs of shoes she had and she felt that wearing the right pair of shoes for the day would make that day turn out well! This is how she chose her Blogger and Twitter name of “goodshoeday”.

Linda lives in Wanstead, which is in East London and usually cooks for just her and her husband. She enjoys cooking for friends and family, too. She and her husband share their home with two cats (who have been known to show up on her blog now and then)!

By reading Linda’s blog, you can see that she is a seasoned and adventurous cook! She recently joined Eating Eurovision. This project challenged 25 food bloggers to eat 25 cuisines in 25 hours within the confines of the M25 (the M25 is the 117-mile motorway that encircles Greater London). Each participant drew the name of a country.  Linda drew Russia and you can read about her adventures in searching for, finding, preparing, and eating Russian cuisine here.

Take a look at her asparagus tart in filo and read the interesting recipe she used for making a sourdough starter. I could almost smell it from here and can’t wait until bread baking time!

Please drop by With Knife and Fork and say hello to Linda aka goodshoeday!

  5. Yes...you do do a nice write up. (sigh) I wish I hadn't raised boys, because when I write "do do" my mind goes..well, you know! Plus I don't think that is proper grammar anyway. So, it's a good thing you are doing the write up and not me.
I'm off to check out her blog.
